Chocolate frozen banana

These chocolate frozen bananas are the perfect dessert for a summer day and the best part is that it is healthy too! Make these easy treats and enjoy them with your little ones all summer long.


6 ripe bananas

For Chocolate Dip:

2 cups chopped dark choco mass


2 tablespoons crushed mixed nuts – almonds, pistachios, or peanuts
2 tablespoons grated coconut flakes
2 tablespoons chopped dried fruit

How to make-

Step 1- Line a tray with baking paper.
Step 2- Peel the bananas. Insert a popsicle stick pushing it into the banana about halfway through. Place the banana onto the tray and freeze it for 2 hours. Your bananas will need to be on the sticks and frozen before decorating. This will help the chocolate become firm quickly and the toppings will not slide off!
Step 3- Have all your toppings ready to go; chop or crush your nuts, candy or dried fruit.
Step 4- Melt the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water. Stir the chocolate every so often.
Step 5- Dip 1 frozen banana into the melted chocolate and, using a spoon, cover any parts that remain uncoated.
Step 6- Sprinkle the frozen banana with the crushed nuts, dried fruit or any topping of your choice and set aside on the tray lined with baking paper and then freeze. The melted chocolate becomes hard quickly, so work fast.
Step 7- When all the bananas are dipped, coated & frozen – you are ready to enjoy your frozen treat!
